Flora MacDonald was a trademark of Abel Morrall LTD. It was first registered in 1905. Flora was a Scottish heroine, who helped Bonnie Prince Charlie escape to the Isle of Skye during the Jacobite rebellion. The image is based on a portrait by Allan Ramsay. These needlepacks date from the 1930’s and each contains 4 blunt tipped needles for burling (separating wool fibers). In pristine condition - limited amount.
